Far from beeing a monoculture, our olive groves are dotted with several other cultivated and wild species.
In particular, old almond trees used to be a distinctive landscape feature in Alta Murgia, but they are quickly vanishing, being replaced by young trees and other crops.
Unlike many other farmers, we preserve and value these old and almost unproductive almond trees, that besides contributing to a healthier and more resilient ecosystem, reward us with a marvelous bloom, announcing the end of Winter and the beginning of Spring.
