Unlike many other farmers, we preserve and value these old and almost unproductive almond trees, that besides contributing to a healthier and more resilient ecosystem, reward us with a marvelous bloom, announcing the end of Winter and the beginning of Spring.

Increasing the content of organic matter in the soil and restoring the nutrient balance are cornerstone principles of organic farming. Over the past few days we have been spreading, throughout our 5 hectares of olive groves, 10 tonnes of pelleted manure.

Very low acidity, peroxides and UV spectrophotometry data, values being well below all maximum thresholds found in all PDO-PGI quality standards.
High content of antioxidants (polyphenols and vitamin E), so health claims foreseen in EC Regulation 2012/432 can be applied.
Pesticide residues below limits of quantification, thus confirming we are proudly doing organic agriculture.
